So tonight we played against host, hostility as our first opponent.
And we lost both maps. So that was it :)
LKFF.fun was playing as DJZooi, Dope, Panjav and our friend-of-the-clan Panjas0s since the bright people at HoQ decided to start at 19:00 CET.. a time we can not be ready yet. Tnx to s0s for joining up.

Over on ESReality a post mentions a European scoop, or actually a Dutch scoop: a QuakeLive CTF LAN tournament.
This 4v4 QL CTF tournament is scheduled to take place at The-Party 10, a huge (2000 attendants) LAN event in Eindhoven, The Netherlands at 6-8 April 2012.
The LAN tournament will be played on provided PCs so foreign players can more easily compete as well; but there is of course also a large BYOC area.
For LKFF.fun we might participate with DJZooi, DNFreak, Panjav, Dope and possibly sjook

Winter Warmup CTF and TDM signups have now been opened. The cup will take place on Friday 20th and Sunday 22nd January. For TDM the dates are set to Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd as well.
The following rules:
* The map pool is 5 maps
* The picking order has been changed to pick pick drop drop (bo3) and pick pick pick pick (bo5)
* Who picks first is chosen by the pummel winner (no cointosses)
* Whoever picks first drops second in the case of bo3
* For TDM: Mercy is set to 60.

Ben er klaar mee!
Bij begin movie was ik nog wel skilled maar werd steeds slechter, daardoor duurde het allemaal zo lang.
Bedankt aan alle welke me een demo hebben gestuurd.
(tis duidelijk dat we Reeseend om een boodschap kunnen sturen :))

On the Quake website the following could be read:
''Quake Live will be going offline to introduce the QLPP11 update''
It indeed has brought us several new things:
3 new Premium maps, a special winter map and the new PQL movement (read: Quake3 ProMode).
Electric Head is a new incarnation of an old RocketArena3 map, ra3map2;
Spider Crossings is the old and overrated famous map q3wcp9 for CTF;
Winter's Edge, the Edge of Quake 2, Quake 3 and Quake 4 fame, with a focus on the Freezetag mode;
Silent Night is the fun 'winter period content', a widely open map which I have not recognized yet.

And btw, over the period of the xmas holidays, quakelive premium maps ''and content'' (what other content aside the maps?) is available for free for everyone.

Tomorrow a new campaign for Duke Nukem Forever will become available. I am not sure if anyone actually managed to survive the game for more than 30 minutes, but if you did then for around 10 euro you can download ''The Doctor Who Cloned Me''.
For that money you'll get the new campaign with Dr Proton in Area 51, new weapons and new enemies (for single player) and apparently there will be new levels as well for the multi-player mode.

Panjav and Dope finished their 2v2 adventure in the CB Cup. They did reach the playoffs and were doing quite well until the semi-final.
Unfortunately they could not win against the oldschool pwners from team mamut: miso and doz3r. They lost in 2 straight maps.
Match report here.
So they had to play the bronze final against the Czech team vO, Virtual Owners. And the opponent was stronger, so again a loss in 2 straight maps.

Still a 4th place with such a strong competition is not a bad result considering we never play QL TDM. GG's guys.

Dope and Panjav (previously known as PaNJak) have been participating in the ClanBase 2v2 Open Cup for Quake Live TDM and they have been doing rather well!
They've made it to the playoffs in the Second League and are now in the semi-final (next Monday) against Slovenian oldschool quake players miso and doz3r who participate as team mamut.
